  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mihajlo (Mike) Vucinic. He died peacefully on April 11, 2023 in his 86th year. Mihajlo was survived by his loving wife, Marta Vucinic, his cherished children, Nada Miletic (Zoran) and Gordana Vucinic. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Natasha Prazic (Petar), Dusan Miletic (Andjela), Milana, Tiana and Daniela Vlajkovic. He lived to be a great grandfather to Teodora, Filip and Konstantin.

He will be fondly remembered by his friends and family.
The viewing and funeral will take place on Monday, April 17, 2023. Please see details below:

"Natalija Sharen Aleksic, age 75, passed December 19, 2021, at her home in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.   
She was born in October 14, 1947, in Silbaš, a village located in the Bačka Palanka municipality, South Bačka District, Vojvodina, Serbia. 
 
She will be buried sometime in May, next to her husband Ivan John Aleksic at the Castleton, Ontario Cemetery. 
Her family will receive friends for funeral arrangement to be planned sometime in May.

Throughout his ministry, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej remained an example of faith and dialogue, humble and joyful, totally dedicating his life to God and fostering the spirit of communion within the Serbian Orthodox Church. This quiet, good and peace loving man was a spiritual shepherd throughout the world. Gentle in words and strong in faith, kindness and love. As we Orthodox proclaim “MEMORY ETERNAL!"

His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia reposed in the Lord on Friday at the age of 90, after being hospitalized since November 4.

Over the weekend, a number of memorial services were held and the Serbian faithful came out to bid farewell to their beloved archpastor, who labored as a hierarch for 46 years, including nearly 11 years as Patriarch. Condolences came in from ecclesiastical and civil authorities from around the world, and 3-day mourning period was declared in Serbia.
